My name is Bob LaFortune and I'm the 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade mathematics teacher at St. Catherine School. I hope you find this webpage interesting and useful. It includes places for both students and parents to find out more about the middle school mathematics classes. The daily lessons and homework assignments for each grade can be found below. I’ve also included a few links to find help with homework or to check out other mathematics-related information. Just "click" on the highlighted words.

We have an interesting and exciting school year ahead of us! My focus in teaching these mathematics classes involves building connections from what the students have learned in earlier courses to the new ideas and concepts that they’ll see this year. Problem solving techniques will also be explored with an emphasis on pointing out that there is often more than one way to find a solution.
